Perceptions of Beauty & Appearance

Inner Grace Reflects Eternal Beauty

You see, sometimes you do not even have to know someone’s name in order to like them. It just sort of happen, you know? As much as we ought to deny it, but the truth is, appearance is something, someone first acknowledge when they meet you. People often ponder on the aspect of appearance. What you look like, sort of gives people the impression of how they perceive you to be.

Inner grace reflects your true countenance & character. It makes you even more appealing.

Hey, guess what? In the end, none of that essentially matters. It’s true that people chase after appearance. The thing is, does appearance really define who a person truly is, deep within? Is it on par with what you perceive them to be like, and what they truly are? Question yourself that, and reflect upon it.

Appearance is just something on the surface. If you look good, and then it’s wonderful! However, try not to let a person’s appearance clouds your verdict, on his/her actual characteristics. Look beyond all that is on the outer; all that beauty, imperfections or flaws of a person and you will notice that, they are truly just like everyone else. One with a heart, soul, feelings, and empathy. Even so, I am sure, every beautiful people, just want to be seen, in the light, as who they truly are (genuine personality), and not by what they look like.

On the other hand, if you are not born a natural beauty, fret not, it’s okay. Someone out there, or anyone at all, will find just one thing about you (your quirks), that is attractive to him/her. After all, people are akin to the flowers. They may vary with different species/breeds but all of them are beautiful in their own ways! Mimosa, bird's nest fern, and even lalangs (coarse weedy Malaysian grass) are all beautiful breeds of flowers/plants. All it takes, is just the right kind of person to genuinely appreciate their beauties, and distinguish their significances. We cannot deny the fact that, "Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder". By other means, just because you weren't born as orchids, roses, morning glory (pretty), it doesn't mean that other people would not find lalangs, cactus and such to be appealing. You are worth more that you think or deserve. It just takes the right kind of person to see through the cracks. I have to admit, this may sound really outlandish and maybe even made you crinkle your nose, but it does make perfect sense, doesn't it? :)

When you look someone with the gaze of warmth, and love, they will retaliate back, the same way. A warm gaze is very fuzzy, and people will initially be drawn to you. Look at people with kindness, even when they dart cold arrows your way. Keep trying, but if they never change, just leave them behind, and move on. Be nice to yourself!  Not everyone is nasty, just give everyone a chance. Keep in mind that, beauty is just something on the surface. The true character/personality within you, is what makes you unique and one of its kind. You will soon discover that, people will like you for being you, and not solely on how you looked like! Everyone is truly beautiful, in their own little ways.

“It is better to be hated for being who you are, than to be liked for being who you are not”

JUST BE YOU, OR AT LEAST TRY, TO BE YOURSELF.
BECAUSE, GENIALITY IS SOMETHING VERY BEAUTIFUL.

Sorry, for sounding cliché. Have you ever thought that perhaps everything that sounds cliché has a significant? This is mainly because, when something is true and factual, then it is only likely to be uttered by the lips, of many. Love yourself, beauty shines from within. Lots of love, and have a nice day! <3

A phrase/quote to live by and reflect upon
A beautiful heart bears a beautiful face~<3
Have faith in yourself! When you believe, others will too :)

New Favourite Drama - Moment in Peking

Moment in Peking

(Mandarin Drama)

I have discovered my latest favourite Mandarin drama

Moment in Peking, sometimes called New Moment in Peking to distinguish it from earlier adaptations, is a 2014 Chinese television series loosely based on Lin Yutang's English-language novel of the same name. (Wikipedia)

Official Poster (Moment in Peking)

Nathan Lee (on the right in suit) known as Zheng Xin Ya and his wife, Yao Mu Lan (lady in red) in Moment in Peking
A week ago, as I was absent-mindedly surfing the channels on the television, I stumbled across a Mandarin drama. The drama is called, Moment in Peking. While it was aired, I came to a halt in a scene where a young man was in amidst of argument with his wife, and breaking stuffs (teapot). I was caught off guard, because My Goodness, the actor looks extremely winsome. His good looks and charm are really appalling. At every scene he is on, my eyes was fixated on him. That is really quite embarrassing to admit. Consequently, I pull out my phone to take pictures of him, on the T.V. screen. Fan-girling level: 1000. Ha-ha.

Hey, don’t judge me, all right? I am sure everyone one of you has your pet peeves, as well. That is just one of mine. Back to the topic, it was literally love on first sight when I saw him on the T.V. screen. You do not need a reason, a motive, or an explanation, for something like that to transpire. I assume, it is just nature taking its course. No, wait, love is a heavy word to describe that. Perchance, it could just be an innocent lust. Am not a divine ’love guru’, hence, I cannot say much or proclaim how much I know, regarding LOVE. Love is not just a four letter word it means….. (Insert ramblings here). Let’s not get to that archetypal topic discussion, shall we? *giggles*

Prior to that, I made an online background check on the actor ;)

Just to be hit by the sudden unearthing that he is a Korean and MARRIED with a DAUGHTER! My heart shattered upon that cruel revelation.....</3

It's okay, its not that it will make any difference if he were single.
P.S. I thought he is a Chinese (but honestly he looked mix-blooded to me)

Such a hunk! Suit & tie <3

Debut of Artistry Sobrique (Blog)

First post! Official launching of

Artistry Sobriquet

Launched on July 22, 2015

Greetings and how I came up with this name...

Baby, you're a firework. BOOM. BOOM. POW.
 Bless you!
Hello, fancy to meet everyone. I have always been fond of writing. Starting my own blog is just the very first step in this journey. First of all, you might be wondering why's the name 'Artistry Sobrique'? "Some kid trying to be fancy and exquisite?". Haha! Hold your horses, there people.

To explain things up, 'artistry' means fancy, and 'sobriquet' means nickname/alias. Therefore, when you combine those two words together, you get the term; 'Fancy Nickname'. I literally have no idea what name to give to my blog.

After a few rounds of thoughts, I came up with that, in a nutshell (like a falling egg that goes, CRACK). Honestly, I saw the word 'sobriquet', from a post on my newsfeed (Twitter). And I have never heard of it before, in my entire life. In my head, I was like, "Hmm, that's some fancy sh*t!".

Apparently, that post is related to Taylor Swift. "Taylor Swift's sobriquet is T-Swizzle" (Twitter). I am a huge fan of hers (not going to lie or hide about that fact). Ain't embarrased to admit that.

A few bouts of mix and match prevailed, and that was how I came up with the name for this blog. Hope, it's not too fancy, but even if you do think so, it's okay because this is the main point of the name 'Artistry Sobriquet' :)

Meanwhile, the idea of the blog website (scribblesonwhitewall.blogspot.com) was derived from a really amusing encounter. Being the clumsy clown that I am, it all happened, when I accidently swept off the clock from the desk to the floor, with my hand. Saw some stains on the wall, while I was picking up the battery on the floor. Subsequent to that encounter, I brooded for a while, and reasoned that perhaps I can use that to generate a name for my blog link. Besides, 'scribblesonwhitewall' seems like a memorable link. I made a good use out of my clumsiness, in the end. What an irony! *giggles*

Looking forward to meet fellow enthusiastic bloggers, who are on the same boat like me. Happy blogging!

A toast to embark on a blogging journey!
